Robert R. Bulger, MD

Robert R. Bulger, MD

Dr. Bulger attended Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency at Emory University as well as a pain management fellowship at Penn State. He is board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in pain management and anesthesiology.

Bulger is a past president of the Dallas County Anesthesia Society, visiting professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center and contributing author of a major surgical text on pain. He has lectured locally and nationally on pain therapies and has been selected as one of D Magazine’s Best Doctors in Dallas and Collin County multiple times.

Dr. Bulger has been in private practice since 1986.

Renaud P. Rodrigue, MD

Dr. Rodrigue attended Louisiana State University New Orleans Medical School and completed an internship and residency at Charity Hospital of New Orleans, as well as a pain management fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He is ABMS certified in pain management and anesthesiology. Rodrigue is a recognized expert in the use of spinal cord stimulation and frequently trains other pain management physicians in the use of this technique.

Additionally, he has experience in innovative techniques for the treatment of chronic headaches. He has been selected as one of D Magazine’s Best Doctors in Dallas multiple times.

Kevin Huddleston, CRNA

Kevin Huddleston, CRNA

Thomas K. Huddleston is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). He has been with Southwest Pain Group since 2002 specializing in anesthesia and sedation for pain procedures. An anesthesia provider since 1982, Kevin performs approximately 5,000 cases per year. He has been a solo rural practitioner covering two critical access hospitals in west Texas; CRNA group practice partner; and urban, Trauma One healthcare system anesthesia provider. Kevin obtained his bachelor of science in nursing from Texas Christian University, his registered nurse designation and his CRNA from Harris Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia (now Texas Wesleyan University program in nurse anesthesia).

Debbie Hetherington, Scheduler

Debbie has worked at SWPG for 10 years, where she is responsible for scheduling new patients, coordinating OR cases, faxing orders to facilities and answering doctors’ calls. The married mother of three was born in Dallas and grew up in Garland, where she attended North Garland High School. Among Debbie’s favorite pastimes are shopping and watching her children play sports.

Lizette Medina, Medical Assistant

Liz has 10 years of experience in pain management—including 6 at Southwest Pain Group. Born in Houston, Liz grew up in Rockwall, Texas. She graduated from Rockwall High School before attending Education America. At SWPG, she is Dr. Rodrigue’s medical assistant. She is married with one lovely daughter named Melanie Rose and two great dogs named Sandy and Gordo. Her hobbies include soccer and jogging.

Angela Greenlee, RMA

Angela has been with the Southwest Pain Group for 9 years with a total of 11 years in the field. At SWPG, Angela assists Dr. Bulger and acts as a traveling medical assistant to all of our facilities. She is certified as a registered medical assistant, is CPR certified and has completed training in HIPPA and OSHA compliance. Born in Waxahachie, Texas, she grew up in Palmer/Ennis, Texas. She knew early on that she wanted to pursue a career in the medical field and attended Education America where she received certification as a medical assistant. She enjoys spending time with her kids, and attending their baseball and basketball games.

Karman Carr, MA

Karman joined Southwest Pain Group in 2013. She was a Certified Nurse Assistant in Louisiana for 12 years before moving to the Dallas area to become a Medical Assistant. Karman assists our providers in clinic, offers general patient care, assists in the pre/post-op area during injections and manages patient calls. She was born and raised in Ruston, Louisiana where she graduated from Ruston High School. Karman has three children, two girls and a boy. She enjoys traveling and volunteering to help the elderly.

Nancey London, Medical Transcriptionist

Nancey is a native of Florida, and graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in political science and secondary education. She went on to earn a Paralegal Certification specializing in litigation and appellate work. After working in the legal field and education for a number of years, Nancey studied to become a medical transcriptionist and earned her certification in 1996. She has been with Southwest Pain Group for 9 years. She is married with three grown children and two grandchildren. Other interests include Boy Scouting, camping, sports, sailing, travel, reading and her two male German Shepherds.

Carla McDowell, Office Coordinator / Pre-Certification Insurance Coordinator

Carla is an integral part of the insurance department team. She processes pre-authorizations, corresponds with insurance companies, assists patients with questions regarding their accounts and verifies insurance prior to patient visits. Carla has 21 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She was the Office Manager at Park Cities Pediatrics for 10 years and has also worked as a Billing Coordinator. Carla is a licensed Pharmacy Technician and she is working on her degree in Health Administration and Management. She is a born-and-raised Texas mother of four and grandmother of six! In her spare time, Carla is the Minister of Music and President of Women’s Mission at her church.

Diamond Thomas, Insurance Eligibility Specialist

Diamond is the newest member of the SWPG business office staff. As an Insurance Eligibility Specialist, Diamond verifies insurance benefits, estimates patient responsibility, and communicates daily with both insurance companies and patients seeking insurance information. Diamond earned her Medical Administration Billing Specialist Certification with honors from Asher Institute in 2014 and she hopes to become a medical auditor and be involved in medical law. Diamond is the oldest of five siblings (the youngest being her mother’s beloved dog), an aunt to three nieces and comes from an even larger extended family. She loves to shop, mostly for shoes, and do DIY projects. Diamond gets along with everyone, loves animals and is a loyal friend.
 
Alicia Byers, Laboratory Medical Assistant

Alicia Byers, Laboratory Medical Assistant

Alicia joined Southwest Pain Group in 2015. She has a background in customer service. Alicia oversees all testing, including: urine drug screening, DNA metabolism testing, sleep disorder assessment, and pain inventory assessment. She also instructs patients on our patient portal. Alicia was born and raised in Dallas. She is Phi Theta Kappa alum from El Centro College where she received her Associates of Biological Sciences and led multiple research projects. In 2014, she graduated from Texas A&M University and received a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology. Her last two years at TAMU were spent in a genetics research lab. One of her favorite memories is when she spent a semester abroad in Namibia, Africa exploring cultural diversity. Alicia has a thirst for knowledge with interests in biology, psychology, history and art. She loves to travel the world, read books and attend community events.

Reba Sanchez, CNA, CMA

Reba started at Southwest Pain Group as an extern and became a full-time Medical Assistant in 2015. She is a Certified Nurse Assistant and a Certified Medical Assistant. Reba assists our providers in clinic, offers general patient care, assists in the pre/post-op area during injections and manages patient calls. She was born in Dallas, and raised in Kaufman where she graduated from Kaufman High School. Reba has three children, two boys and a girl. She enjoys walking her dog, watching baseball and shopping.
